Join Padre Pio Pilgrimage Co. for a 10 day, 9 night pilgrimage to Poland. We stay in Gdansk for 2 nights where we will learn the history of the city and its role in the Solidarity movement of workers and also take day trips to famous shrines in the area listed below. We will then travel to and spend 3 nights in Warsaw where we will tour the old town in Polands capital and also take several day trip to nearby shrines listed below. Finally we will conclude our pilgrimage by spending 4 nights in Krakow. (We will stop and tour the Auschwitz Concentration Camp where St. Maximillian Kolbe and St. Edith Stein were martyred.)
Poland’s Catholic history is deeply interwoven with its national identity, featuring centuries of faith, influential saints (like John Paul II and St. Faustina), and a landscape rich with stunning Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque churches, monasteries, and shrines, offering immense spiritual beauty and historical significance, particularly notable are sites like Jasna Góra and Wawel Cathedral, reflecting a resilient, devout culture.
October 20 Gdansk
Fly from Cleveland to Gdansk where we will stay two nights. Gdańsk is a historic Polish port city on the Baltic Sea, famous for its stunning, colorful, reconstructed Old Town with Dutch-Flemish architecture, rich Hanseatic League history, and significant role as the birthplace of the Solidarity movement that helped end communism in Poland; it’s a major cultural, maritime, and tourist center known for amber, beautiful churches, museums, and as the starting point of WWII. Our stay will include visits to:

- Lichen, Poland Shrine of Our Lady of Lichen – “Largest Basilica in Poland”
- Glotowa, Poland: Eucharistic Miracle of Glotowo
October 23 – 26 Warsaw
- Three nights in Warsaw

- Niepokalanow, Poland: Saint Maximilian Kolbe’s “City of the Immaculate Church of Saint Leonard in Slupca – Miraculous Crucifix”
- Jasna Gora, Poland: Our Lady of Częstochowa (the Black Madonna)
October 26 – 30 Krakow
We will tour Krakow and see its historic beauty including the Jewish quarter and visit Oskar Schindler’s factory (from the movie Schindler’s list) which is now a very popular museum in Krakow. We will also celebrate mass in the famous salt mine chapel and take a few day trips to St. John Paul II home town and the Convent/campus of Divine Mercy where St. Faustina lived, worked and wrote her famous diary and was given the miraculous Divine Mercy Image by Christ. Our stay will include visits to:
- Wawel Castle & the Royal Cathedral of St. Stanislaus and St. Wenceslaus
- The Wieliczka Salt Mine – Sunday Mass
- Oskar Schindler Factory/Museum
- Auschwitz – Memorial to St. Maximillian Kolbe and St Edith Stein
- Kalwaria, often called the “Polish Jerusalem” and one of the oldest Shrines in Poland (Zebrzydowska, Poland)
- Birthplace of Pope John Paul II (Wadowice, Poland)
- Sanctuary of Our Lady of Ludźmierz (Ludźmierz, Poland)
- Divine Mercy Shrine & Home to St. Faustina

*Additional Week to Medjugorje
We are offering an optional additional week (October 30 – November 6) to visit Medjugorje (where Our Blessed Mother is currently appearing daily since 1981 and recently approved as an official Marian Apparition Pilgrimage Site by the Vatican) for an additional $895, double occupancy.
This includes airfare, ground transportation and transfers, lodging, breakfast and dinner daily, and all tips and guide fees. While there, we will meet some of the visionaries as well as hear talks from priests nuns and lay people who make Medjugorje their home. Click for itinerary.
