Padre Pio Pilgrimage Company was founded by Michael Campanelli following his retirement from a 35 year career in Information Technology and the sale of his Canton, Ohio based data center company.

Michael’s first pilgrimage was to Medjugorje in May of 2009 where he experienced a miraculous conversion experience and has returned at least a dozen times with family friends and pilgrims.Michael’s conversion story from Medjugorje can be heard here:

Michael has travelled extensively to shrines in the United States, including:

 

• The Saint John Paul II Museum and Shrine /The Basilica of The National Shrine of The Immaculate Conception (Washington, DC)
• Our Lady of Help Shrine (Champion, Wisconsin)
• Rhoda Wise Home/ Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Saint Therese/Mother Angelica Museum (Canton, Ohio)
• National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes (Euclid, Ohio)

Michael has also travelled extensively through Europe with family, friends and pilgrims including numerous shrines in Italy, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, Mexico, Israel/The Holy Land, Greece, Turkey, and Ireland. Michael speaks German and Italian.
